Singita Kwitonda

Lodge Singita Kwitonda is the only resort close to Volcanoes National Park. The serenity is situated on 178 acres on the northern side of Rwanda, right on the park's edge. It is named after a renowned silverback gorilla and shares a 1.2-kilometre boundary with the park. The unrivalled location of Singita Kwitonda Lodge makes it simple to access adventures like the life-changing opportunity of a gorilla trek.

Singita Kwitonda has a breathtaking setting. Materials for the walls, ceiling, and surface finishes were chosen and made locally by interior designers and architects. Individuals from the local community worked on-site to construct traditional dry-stone walls for specialized sections within the landscape. Being mindful of the environment is essential to the design, and sustainability is the driving force behind the building structure.

The accommodation nursery has a dedicated Conservation Room and a vegetable garden that supplies fresh products for Kwitonda's farm-to-table culinary journey to enhance the experience further. Additionally, the lodge is designed in response to its stunning location. Visitors enjoy a haven of warmth, silence, and seclusion that helps them to reflect on their interactions with the fantastic creatures of the woods.

Each suite features a comfortable sitting room heated by a fireplace as a pleasant haven for post-trek leisure. Each room has bewildering amenities, such as a private dining area, a pantry, and a stocked minibar. The bedrooms, which may be set up as super king double beds or twin beds, include a rest area, a changing room with two vanities, a bathroom with a bath, a detached toilet, an interior shower, and an outdoor shower with a glass enclosure. Closer interaction with the surrounding environment is encouraged with a secluded terrace with a fireplace and warmed plunge pool.

However, children under 15 are not permitted to go on gorilla treks. Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House also offer visitors the chance to participate in golden monkey treks.
