Seychelles Travel Advice

Seychelles remains a safe and travel worthy destination. It is always ready to welcome you and ensure that you enjoy the holiday of your dreams. But before visiting you should follow the travel advice set by the government.

Safety and Security

  • Most visiting Seychelles are trouble-free. However, there have been cases of robberies, and opportunist thefts against residents, and tourists.
  • Crime is generally non-violent, but bag snatching and robbing while walking at night are exceptions. You should take precautions to keep yourself safe.
  • Mahe is mountainous, and roads are narrow. So, take care while driving yourself.
  • Take care while doing water activities like swimming or snorkeling, particularly for children or the elderly, as drowning may occur.

  • If you have any health issues or if you are pregnant, you may need healthcare abroad. So, ensure you will carry travel insurance with you while traveling to Seychelles.
  • Be aware of the Covisd-19 rules set by the government and don't go to restricted areas. For detailed coronavirus health information, visit the Coronavirus page.
