Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar

After a hearty breakfast in Arusha; you will be picked up by the driver guide to start of your safari. You will take a short flight in to the Park. Upon arrival in Tarangire, you will check in and settle down for your stay. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is famed for its gigantic baobabs over 1000 years old and the large herds of elephant families. There is a high concentration of wildlife along the Tarangire River especially in the dry season. The Tarangire River is the only source of water within the park. Wildlife species include lions, leopard, cheetah, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, olive baboon, waterbuck, impala, vervet monkey, African wild dog, eland, caracal, honey badger and others.

Today marks the end of our unforgettable African safari adventure. Start the day with one final exhilarating morning game drive, immersing yourself in the last opportunities to witness the stunning wildlife and landscapes that have captivated you throughout your journey. After this last thrilling experience, return to camp to enjoy a delicious breakfast, where you can savor the memories of your remarkable safari. Once your meal is complete, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you will be warmly greeted and assisted with the transfer to the international airport. Here, you will check in for your outbound flight, bringing to a close an extraordinary adventure filled with the wonders of the African wilderness, and leaving with treasured memories of a truly remarkable journey.

Depart Tarangire in the morning and take a flight to the spectacular wildlife Arena in Serengeti. Serengeti national park is blessed with myriads of game viewing opportunities. It is possible to spot all the big five in this park.  You will have Picnic lunch enroute as you drive through the conservation areas into the park. Arrive with a game drive enroute to lodge.  Other species to expect to see in Serengeti include cheetahs, Jackals, spotted hyena, vervet monkeys, stripped hyenas, bat-eared foxes, serval cats, mongoose, Masai giraffe, hippos, waterbuck, impalas, antelopes and many more.

This day is considered as the highlight of your game drive experience. During this day, you will witness hundreds of instinctive and non-instinctive behaviors of the park’s wildlife inhabitants. Serengeti is huge and the different habitat attracts different wildlife species. The wildebeests Migration happens in between March – July after which they cross over into the Masai Mara game reserve.  Millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras, Topi, Thomson’s gazelles and elands are seen moving from grazing location to another. During their movement, there are always predators hunting down some of the herd members. The Serengeti is an action packed park and will leave you with the wow and splendor of an African safari. In the evening, after sunset, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a scenic drive as you journey towards the world’s largest caldera, Ngorongoro Crater. This remarkable destination, known for its vast expanse and stunning natural beauty, is home to over 20,000 animal species. From the rim of the caldera, you’ll be treated to panoramic views that capture the grandeur of this unique landscape. Upon arriving, you’ll have the opportunity to savor a leisurely late lunch, giving you time to appreciate the surroundings and relax. Spend the rest of the afternoon taking full advantage of the lodge’s amenities, whether it’s unwinding in comfortable accommodations, exploring the lodge’s grounds, or simply soaking in the serene environment. This time allows you to reflect on the incredible wildlife and breathtaking scenery you’ve encountered, making for a perfect conclusion to your day.

 Depart with lunch boxes and descend 2000 feet down the floor of crater for a full day crater tour. Ngorongoro Crater is the world largest unbroken caldera that is also the largest natural zoo; Ngorongoro Crater is unparalleled in terms of animal concentration in the World. This day will be spent exploring this eighth world wonder with picnic lunches served at the hippo pool side. If you are lucky you can spot all the big 5, in one day. Later in the afternoon you will drive up the Crater rim.

Today marks the conclusion of your exhilarating bush safari. After a final breakfast in the serene surroundings of the bush, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your outbound flight to Zanzibar. If you prefer, you have the option to fly directly from Serengeti to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, our safari representative will be there to warmly greet you and assist with your transfer to the beach resort. Here, you can unwind and begin enjoying the tranquil beauty and relaxation of your beachside retreat.

Zanzibar is a captivating beach island renowned for its spice farms, rich cultural and traditional heritage, and its status as a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserving its natural beauty. During your stay, you can explore the island’s charm and history, and visit the Jozani Forest Sanctuary to see the rare and endangered colobus monkeys. Spend the next two days engaging in various excursions or enjoying the array of water sports offered by the resorts. After the dusty adventures of your safari, take this time to relax, soak up the sun, and revel in the island’s serene and picturesque environment. This combination of bush and beach experiences makes for the perfect safari itinerary.

Enjoy your final day in Zanzibar at your leisure, whether that means relaxing at the hotel or exploring the local markets for souvenirs. After a delightful lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight. From there, you will connect to your international flight home, concluding your memorable journey with cherished memories and a touch of Zanzibar’s unique charm.
