5 Days Follow the Great Migration

Upon arriving at the airport, you’ll be greeted by our safari director for a briefing. You’ll then be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Soak in the spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley as you fly over its stunning landscapes. Upon landing, your driver guide will escort you to your camp in the heart of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. This luxurious, rustic camp offers exceptional wildlife viewing in a less crowded area, surrounded by savannah and rolling plains. Spend the day exploring the hills and plains in search of black-manned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalo, along with various hoofed animals.

Today we leave the conservancy for an experience in the Mara game reserve. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round. Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night. Between the months of July to October, the plains are trampled upon by millions of wildebeests in search of greener pasture. The river crossing is phenomenal and it happened differently each year. Bid a fond farewell to the expansive Masai Mara plains as you board your short flight back to Nairobi. Upon your arrival, enjoy a delightful lunch at a restaurant of your choice, which we will arrange for you. Savor the flavors and reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had during your safari. Following your meal, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
