Day 1:
Arrival in Nairobi
Our Concierge team will be at hand to receive you at the airport. You will be transferred to the hotel for
your overnight stay. Set at the high end suburbs of Karen, Hemingway’s hotel is a luxurious hotel known to be among the top rated with excellent customer services. The green gardens and the beautiful sight of the Ngong hills add to the natural beauty of this hotel. Enjoy dinner and overnight.
Day 2-3:
Road to Ol Pajeta Conservancy
After breakfast we visit the Giraffe center and Shedrick Elephant orphanage then head north with picnic lunch on the way. This private ranch and rhino sanctuary lies between Mt Kenya and the Aberdares. It is located on the equator in the British settled town of Nanyuki. This conservancy is home to a rhino sanctuary of its kind in the world. It is home to the only northern white rhino remaining in the world. It is also plays hosts to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. Here you enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the orphaned chimps that vary in age from 2-15 yrs. Most of these chimps have originality at the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi having been rescued from poaching and disease.
Day 4:
Fly to Masai Mara Game reserve.
After breakfast, we head to the world famous wildlife arena. Maasai Mara is famous for the big cats and the wildebeest migration. The flight takes us across the Great Rift Valley. On arrival you will be transferred to the Camp. After our lunch we have an afternoon scheduled game drive. Masai Mara is the most famous reserve, the wildlife jewel of east Africa. Explore the savannah, its beauty and inhabitants. Masai Mara is the best place to see all the big five and thousands of herbivores that know this place to be home. It has a variety of vegetation and therefore supports many animals’ species. In the months of July to October it plays hosts to millions of hoofed animals that come here in search of better pasture .This remains to be the time of plenty for all and the best animal spectacle also called the eighth wonder of the world.
Day 5-6:
Masai Mara Game Reserve
The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s premier wildlife destination, renowned for its abundant wildlife and scenic rolling grasslands that keep animals in view. Over 450 bird species, including 57 types of raptors, can be spotted here. The gentle climate features well-spread rainfall, typically in the late afternoon or night. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive through the vast plains, seeking the Big Five and various herbivores. Explore the reserve’s diverse landscapes, with opportunities to see black-manned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalo. Immerse yourself in Maasai culture through their dances and daily life. Between July and October, witness the spectacular wildebeest migration. Optional excursions include visiting a Maasai village or a balloon safari. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7:
Fly to Serengeti National Park.
On this day, we shall board two flights to Serengeti. From the airstrip you will be received by our driver guide who will take you to the hidden luxurious Gem which is pioneer camp in Serengeti national park. The Serengeti, whose Maasai name ‘Siringet’ translates as ‘the endless plains’, offers unparalleled
ornithological opportunities and an unrivalled natural arena wherein the glory and harmony of nature can be appreciated as nowhere else on earth. After lunch, enjoy your first game-drive in the sensational Serengeti. Covering 14,763 sq. km of endlessly rolling savannah plains, it is Tanzania’s first-established, largest and most famous park wherein tens of thousands of hoofed animals roam in a constant and unremitting search for the fresh grasslands upon which their survival depends.
Day 8-9:
Serengeti National park.
With a full day’s game-driving in the park, you can expect to see the best of what it has to offer. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in lodge. Game drives are best taken in the morning and afternoon. The million-plus wildebeest are the predominant herbivore and also the main prey of a huge cast of large carnivores, principally lion and hyena. Whilst the annual migration is the Serengeti’s most famous attraction, the Park is also renowned for its lion, many of which have been fitted with radio-transmitter collars so that their movements may be tracked, and additionally for its wealth of cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, eland, impala, klipspringer, hippo and warthog.
Day 10:
Serengeti- Ngorongoro Crater
Depart the lodge after breakfast. Ngorongoro crater is the largest perfect volcanic caldera in the world. A unique biosphere, the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area shelters some 25,000 large mammals dominated by bull elephants, rhinos and lions. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best-known wildlife arenas. A World Heritage Site, it is also one of the largest volcanic craters in the world (almost 20 kilometers wide, 610-760 meters’ deep and covering a total area of 264 square kilometers). An utterly unique biosphere, the Crater harbors grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of birdlife, all enclosed within its towering walls. Due to its high concentration of wildlife, close-range viewing opportunities and striking scenery it is also Tanzania’s most visited destination.
Day 11:
Nairobi –Outbound flight.
Today marks your final day in the wild plains of Africa. You will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the main airport. From there, connect to your outbound flight, concluding your unforgettable journey.
