Kalahari Plains

The Kalahari Plains is located in a remotely secluded area of the Kalahari desert. Notably, the area covered lies in the central zone of the global renown Kalahari Game Reserve an area of more than 52,000 square kilometres, a surface area larger than Belgium.

The Kalahari Plain Camp sits adjacent to an infinite pan filled with beautiful gay skies and an infinite horizon. Moreover, the camp has in it about 18 suite units of the canvas. The latter has proper ventilation, and proper temperature regulation topped up with platforms that facilitate guests' sleep out filled with star-studded and stunning moonlight.

Additionally, you will come across a comfy dining room, private deck, sitting room and private pool. The prime section of the Kalahari Plains covering most of the space has a nice lounge area, beverage brewing facility and a sizeable library. The accommodation is done in Tented chalets having interlocking sand footpaths linking them with the central area. A striking feature of these chalets is that they are constructed and cast on wooden decks. The decks help elevate these chalets above the ground to allow a relaxed ambience, especially during dry summer.

Still, on the chalets, the walls are made of insulated canvas, containing big mesh windows and ceiling fans to make your interior stay as cool as possible.

Guided game drives

These game drives are customarily scheduled twice daily, with bestowed guests enjoying drives in the open within four-wheel drive vehicles. However, seasons greatly dictate the diversity of your sights within this premise. For a more significant part of the year, the game reserve is arid; thus, you may only come across very few landscape blemishes due to the minute wildlife's density. Some of the species available during such times include; lions, wild dogs, bat-eared foxes, gemsbok, jackals and springbok.

Interestingly, visits paid between May and October provide a contrasting sight since, during these times, the famous, crispy and glistening Okavango Delta is engulfed with water.
