The Garden Route

You can tour the Golden Route all year round.  The temperature is usually manageable, but during summer, it’s hot. The area is super crowded during the Christmas festival. The rain is unpredictable, and for those that want a memorable beach holiday, the best time is from February to April. The whale-watching holiday is at its peak in September, but it starts from July to October. During the winter, hiking activities and sporting activities are doable. Your visit timing to the Route depends on your interest.
