Deep in the heart of Serengeti, next to the Grumeti River, you’ll discover a secret known only by a few in the name of Singita Faru Faru Lodge. The lodge is a deluxe accommodation for sagacious bush explorers. Safely positioned at the heart of the African wild, the lodge proudly stands on a 350, 000-acre land pristine and unbothered by human activities. The Singita Faru Faru Safari Lodge will give you an experience that will make you thank the heavens for its existence.
This grand lodge exists strategically at the Great Migration pathway, allowing its guests to see thousands of herds traverse the Serengeti plains yearly. We are talking of more than 1.5 million wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras each year moving through the Mara River to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. It makes it even more fantastic as this movement is between two counties.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, making them comfortable and elegant. With airy bedroom spaces, you also see the outside from indoors, thanks to the big windows. This also allows for more natural lighting to get in the rooms. The lodge’s setting overlooks a waterhole, making the scene look magnificent.
Walking and Driving Safaris
Game driving to the Serengeti national park is the most popular activity at the Singita Faru Faru Lodge, followed by walk safaris in the private reserve. These activities allow an intimate look and feel of this place’s nature, environment and sounds. More than once, you can get to see the famous big five. You can, however, catch the wildebeest migration from around April to some parts of July.
The walks and safaris are led by experts who properly understand the details of the lodge’s existence and surroundings.
Dining the Singita Faru Faru Lodge Way
No vacation is complete without a perfect meal; this place is the epitome of that. It starts with morning tea which is served in your room with an option of either tea or coffee. A full breakfast includes fruits, juices, freshly baked bread, bacon, eggs, and waffles. Meals are laced with local ingredients and therefore come with a ready appetite.
There is also a cocktail, wine, beverages, juices, and carbonated drinks for a sundowner. This can be enjoyed either in the bush or on the beautiful spacious decks that give grandeur sights of the waterhole.
There are nine suites in total. First, the 2-bedroom suite comes with a private pool which makes it ideal for a family and can accommodate up to four adults. Also, theirs is a suite that can host a family of two adults and two children.
The remaining seven rooms are one-bedroom suites. Rooms have unique décor with walls made of stone and wood to the canopy beds.
