This is a sanctuary for a large herd of elephants. In Africa, this park has the highest concentration of elephants. The superficial alkaline water hosts thousands of flamingos. There are groundwater springs, green forests, grassy flood plains, and acacia woodlands. Lake Manyara National Park is the smallest park in Tanzania. Regardless, it has picturesque scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Migrant and aquatic birds populate the area. These include; crowned eagles, pink flamingos, silver cheeked hornbills, crested guinea fowl, and other avifauna. Animals that tourists can locate here are; impalas, African wild dogs, aqua bucks, zebra, klipspringer, lion, hippopotamus, warthogs, and buffaloes. You can take a game drive at night, evening, and morning. Get to see the nocturnal animals in play. Lake Manyara NP is famous for its several troops of baboons on the planet. Egyptian mongoose, cape clawless, Syke monkey, short-eared galago are some of the primates you can see. Mountain biking is one of the unique activities that tourists can undertake.
Additionally, you can go for a village visit to learn about the Maasai way of life and customs. You can also take dinner/lunch in the bush. Walking safari is common, and it is the best way of exploring the scenery. There are several luxury lodges and camps inside and outside the park.
